About font family
TT Ramillas is a Transitional serif perfectly adapted to modern reality and requirements. The idea behind this project was to experiment: we aimed to craft a contemporary serif with precisely balanced forms by rethinking and meticulously designing each glyph.
Remarkable visual features of TT Ramillas include high contrast, small and flared serifs, variable slant of ovals, open aperture, pronounced stresses, and absence of teardrops. Besides, the font is marked by a specific flame-like element of the letter “б,” an eye-catching tongue of the letter “Ээ,” flexible legs of the letters “Кк,” “Жж,” “Яя,” and a distinctive terminal shape of the letter “а.”
Elegant TT Ramillas is an excellent choice for fashion and art magazines. It can also be used in the branding of premium goods and services. The typeface is highly versatile: it will look great in headlines while remaining readable in small and medium-sized text blocks. In addition, we implemented manual TrueType hinting into the typeface, which allows you to use it in web and app design.
TT Ramillas has two pairs of decorative styles, Outline and Decor, both featuring italic versions like the base font. They work perfectly for headlines and eye-catching, short phrases. Catering to the highest expectations, we prepared a variable version of the basic font styles. Using the type controlling tools, you can adjust and select specific font style thickness without being limited by the existing weight parameters. Also, for TT Ramillas Initials, we created decorative capital letters with flower patterns. These initial caps can be, for example, a graceful addition to the design of the first passages in books.
The typeface TT Ramillas includes:
- 28 font styles: 7 roman and 7 italic styles of the base font, 2 roman and 2 italic decorative styles, 7 flower-patterned styles, and 3 variable fonts;
- 900 glyphs in each font style (except for the decorative ones);
- 180+ languages support, including the Cyrillic and extended Latin writing systems;
- 25 useful OpenType features, such as small caps, ligatures, old-style figures, arrows, hands, and card suits.
